• Latex, foam, memory foam, feathers, down & so much more. The market is flooded with so many choices and so many chemicals!

1. Eco or green mattresses are very toxic. Plant derived, soybean and bamboo are laden with chemicals. Why organic mattresses and bedding is actually more comfortable.
2. What makes for a safe crib/mattress.
3. Why a crib mattress needs to be waterproof and the various ways to achieve it.
4. Latex (and even more so with “natural” latex is a known and documented allergen)
5. Certifications and their validity. Buyer beware!
6. Synthetic latex is made with petroleum-based oils and chemical additives. Chemicals typically added include formaldehyde and flame retardants, which have been proven dangerous to health.
7. Organic Latex: Organic latex is made from the sap of the rubber tree which is processed. A mattress made from organic latex does not contain any chemicals, synthetics, pesticides, herbicides, or other man-made products.
